Love the show, I do get your point about the Metallica analogy but they do continue to be the biggest hard rock/heavy metal band in the world so it's not a perfect analogy. I read recently they have nearly grossed as much as U2 to date.

When Dr Who was set in the Punjab (facepalm) with Jodie Whittcker and featured "white devils" and glossed over the bloody Islamic conflict during Partition, I knew where Dr Who was heading. At that point I decided I would no longer pay the Licence Fee. I ain't paying to be insulted. If the BBC were forced to go with the subscription model, they'd have to EARN it. They'd have to compete in a free market. Instead they have a captive audience of fee-payers, which means they can set the bar as low as they want and still have a steady income.

When Doomcock cosplay outnumbers Star Wars cosplay at a convention, that's when we'll know we have won.

I believe this whole Hulk/Universal thing is a load of BS. First, Feige, himself, once said flat out the only thing preventing Marvel from making a second Hulk movie was money. He stated that it was too expensive for as little as the first film brought in. He also stated that the only rights Universal had at the time was first right of refusal for distribution. Marvel could make it, and Universal could decide to either distribute it or not. If not, Marvel/Disney would. Second, those rights Universal held at the time have long since expired. The Incredible Hulk released in 2008? If those rights ran the typical seven years, they expired in 2015.

There are no interstellar distances in Star Wars. Everything is right next to everything else.

My thoughts on Mike Zeroh are these; even though his Star Wars predictions usually turn out to be wrong, he doesn't deserve to be publically humiliated by supposed industry "professionals" such as Rian's Johnson, Ram Bergman, and their swarm of flying blue monkeys.
    Hey! Where's Harvey Cthulhu? :-D

As a long time Metallica fan, though from outside the US, I do actually like the Black Album. I'm not saying it wasn't the beginning of a change for Metallica, it clearly was. However judging the Black Album on its own merits alone, not a historical perspective of what it begun, I actually like the album and still enjoy listening to it today alongside Kill 'em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets and Justice for All. I do agree that what followed: Load, Reload, Garage, St. Anger, etc, is pretty terrible. S&M was an interesting experiment with some good and some bad adaptations of their songs. My point is that you can judge things on what they are and than also judge them on what they've started. These are 2 separate judgments and should be treated as such.
