Chris Broussard on how LeBron should handle his decline & Kyrie's media pressure | NBA | THE HERD

  • Published on:  Monday, March 4, 2019
  • Chris Broussard thinks LeBron James needs to hone in on one skill, while he is declining, and make it easier for the Los Angeles Lakers teammates to play around him. He also thinks Kyrie Irving needs to handle media scrutiny better.

    LeBron should have done two things in his career. 1- should have never left Cleveland. 2- Play point guard.

    LeBron can win if winners are put on the team to do it for him.

    All star game - This would be worth viewing!!!
    1.only one player /team can be an allstar
    2. captains pick the team regardless of "East or West"
    3. The winning teams players team get 3-5 wins for their regular season winning.
    Now the allstar game means something. This game will mean as much as any finals game!
    Now the East West captains will choose smarter and picks based on how to win this game not... cause he is my friend...

    LeBron James should continue playing as long as it makes him happy, he can continue winning if he plays next to younger stars and should encourage the Lakers front office to add Damian Lillard just as he did to the Cavaliers front office.

    LAKERS should trade Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, Moritz Wagner and their 1st round pick this year to BLAZERS in exchange for Damian Lillard and Zach Collins;

    BLAZERS should trade Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, Kyle Kuzma, the Lakers 1st round pick and their own 1st round pick to GRIZZLIES as well as take on the salaries of CJ Miles and Chandler Parsons in exchange for their lottery pick this year;

    BLAZERS should trade CJ McCollum, Jusuf Nurkic, Evan Turner, Moe Harkless and Skaal Labisierre to WIZARDS as well as take on the salary of John Wall in exchange for 4 1st round picks including their lottery pick this year;

    BLAZERS should draft Coby White and one of Rui Hachimura/Nassir Little/DeAndre Hunter;

    BLAZERS should sign undrafted rookie Brandon McCoy to a 4 year $20 million contract;

    BLAZERS starting 5: Coby White, Anfernee Simons, Brandon Ingram, DeAndre Hunter and Brandon McCoy;

    BLAZERS bench: John Wall, Gary Trent Jr., CJ Miles, Moritz Wagner and Meyers Leonard;

    GRIZZLIES should draft Kevin Porter and Kris Wilkes;

    GRIZZLIES starting 5: Lonzo Ball, Kevin Porter, Kris Wilkes, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Jonas Valanciunas;

    GRIZZLIES bench: Mike Conley, Dillon Brooks, Josh Hart, Kyle Kuzma and Kyle Anderson/Ivan Raab;

    WIZARDS starting 5: Bradley Beal, CJ McCollum, Jabari Parker, Bobby Portis and Jusuf Nurkic;

    WIZARDS bench: Evan Turner, Moe Harkless, Troy Brown, Skal Labisierre and Ian Mahinmi;

    LAKERS should sign Kawhi Leonard;

    LAKERS should resign Rajon Rondo, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee and Tyson Chandler;

    LAKERS starting 5: Damian Lillard, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Kawhi Leonard, LeBron James and JaVale McGee;

    LAKERS bench: Rajon Rondo, Isaac Bonga, Lance Stephenson, Zach Collins, Tyson Chandler;

    BLAZERS record is as is because of health; ROCKETS injuries/Carmelo Anthony signing/Chris Paul suspension; THUNDER injuries; NUGGETS home court advantage; SPURS injuries; LAKERS injuries; BLAZERS were swept last year in the 1st round, they are not true contenders and should change their roster;

    BLAZERS wouldn’t spend any time rebuilding;

    BLAZERS covet shooting so Moritz Wagner is valuable;

    BLAZERS would feature a star offensive point guard, small forward and center;

    BLAZERS would be able to overcome any possible future injury to Brandon Ingram;

    MEMPHIS needs a future point guard, Mike Conley can mentor Lonzo Ball;

    MEMPHIS covets defense so Josh Hart is valuable;

    MEMPHIS can play Jaren Jackson Jr. as a center against smaller teams if necessary and start Kyle Kuzma, against larger teams Jonas Valanciunas would start;

    MEMPHIS would play strong defenders at every position;

    WIZARDS should recognize John Wall is an inefficient shooter and succeeds because of his dynamic athleticism which assuredly was severely impacted by the recent injury to his achilles, his 4 year $200+ million contract is yet to take effect and they should pursue a trade;

    WIZARDS should recognize Jabari Parker is unlikely to resign unless the team becomes a legitimate contender;

    WIZARDS back court would provide veteran leadership, outside shooting and playmaking;

    WIZARDS front court would dominate on the boards and find constant mismatches because of size and shooting ability;

    LAKERS should recognize the advanced age of LeBron James and attempt to win as soon as possible;

    LAKERS adding Damian Lillard will attract a third max salary player such as Kawhi Leonard who would profit more from endorsements on the LAKERS as opposed to the CLIPPERS—he signed with New Balance because of money but also refused a supermax extension from the SPURS—money matters it’s just not the only thing that matters and adding Damian Lillard would distinguish the team in free agency;

    LAKERS must recognize their young core is talented yet doesn’t fit very well;

    LAKERS must surround LeBron Janes with outside shooting and strong defense;

    LAKERS would become a contender reestablishing themselves as the number 1 free agent destination and add veterans on minimum contracts as well as draft picks to improve their bench moving forward;

    Meaning..Le Bron's distribution of his energy is to diluted to get it all done.
    You can't expect someone to put all their energy into so many other projects, particularly his post NBA career aspirations,and expect him to muster the kind of energy it takes to bring a Championship to LA Laker LA LA Land.
    Won't happen.
    Particularly as he is hitting a wall in his age.
    It's not how old you are,ITS the Millage.
    And Le Bron has a mountain of mileage on him.
    Throw in all his other perioheal Projects requiring a lot of energy to have any success at those endeavors,your gonna burn a bridge somewhere.
    And burning a bridge in a Laker Uniform is fatal to his career and his legacy.

    Because that's all their is.
    Given the distribution of Energy and focused intent of that energy for Le Bron is a critical reason why it fell apart.
    The Golden State warriors model of winning,centers in the collective chemistry distribution that is focused on winning Championships.
    That's what the Lakers and the Celtics have symbolized since the days of Bill Russell and Elgin Baylor.
    Look how many flags are hoisted in the Garden and Staples in LA.
    When your a leader in the NBA as Le Bron is,coming to the the Lakers has expectations you won't find in any other NBA market.
    I know because I'm a Native California born LA resident since before the Lakers got to LA from Minneapolis and played in the old LA Sports arena
    They have always stood the test of time as one of the classiest professional sports organizations ever created.
    When you put a Laker Uniform on your saying you represent EVERYTHING that preceded you that put that put that organization on top for over 70 years.
    That's older than Le Bron.
